IFDA congresses in Few Figures

Internationalisation of the IFDA congresses has started in 2006 in application to European Rules of Pratice for the Promotion of Medicine. Bilateral congresses were not allowed anymore and several nationalties had to be present in order to be considered as an "international congress".


In 2006, IFDA organized 9 IFDA congresses in the following cities: Barcelona, Budapest (2), Cracow, Naples, Paris, Prague (2) & St Petersburg and registered 7 770 General Practitioners.


In 2007, more than 13 300 General Practitioners registered to one of the 16 IFDA congresses organized in the following cities: Barcelona, Bratislava, Budapest, Cracow, Moscow, Paris, Prague (2), Roma, St Petersburg (2), Sofia, Tallinn, Valencia, Vienna and Warsaw.


Last year, in 2008, 15 IFDA congresses has been organised in Barcelona (ES), Brussels (BE), Budapest (HU), Cracow (PL), Fez (MA), Gammarth (TN), Naples (IT), Paris (FR), Prague (CZ), Roma (IT), Warsaw (PL), Zagreb (HR).
An increase of 55 additional GPs per congress has been noted versus 2007 (+6%).

 

IFDA Congresses and Accreditation

With regards to the UEMS-accreditation of IFDA congresses, systematic request has been implemented starting 2008 and all IFDA congresses have been accredited since.
